About the author
Treaty (to her friends) lives in Phoenix, Arizona with her significant other of thirteen years. They moved from southern California with their teenage son eight years ago. Eventually making their home & final resting place the red rocks of Sedona, where they have start-up's for three varied businesses.
Hillary's interests are in both sports & nature photography (photos on this site), the producing-end & marketing of rock n' roll & blues artists, and traveling with her keen-eye and experience in entertainment business.
Together with son - a culinary student of Cordon Bleu, the family is venturing into an innovative experience
in daytime dining restaurant, opening "Abel's, Eggs & Spam", next door of Red Rock Bookstore in Sedona. (Hill's darkroom is located in the basement of their bookstore.)
Treaty is mostly concerned with issues surrounding children - their health and education. Her higher education is in Human Development, while also formally continuing her studies another interest in that of the Humanities. (Which preceeded her writing her recent novel.)
Like many Americans, Treaty is concerned about where are "our children" heading in the angry world, but not their hearts. Blessed for our nation's charity, personally, as are "our" respective family's luckier than most.

The Story Behind My Site
This is not the first book that I have written.
Years ago, when I was a single-parent and struggling to do that well as I could with all of my "dysfunctional", I wrote a children's book.

(The subject matter of this out-of-print gem, was inspired by mine and my family's years of effort to retrieve our youngest member from a religious cult - our collective broken-heart, he forever lost.)

Afterwards of his home-coming, I returned to school at age 30. "Aid-de-camp" in that effort already begun and struggling, helped raise Xan for a few of his formative years, meanwhile breaking my heart for every way which I failed her dreams of an "us".

First, driven for a formal education to become "this" great writer. Your brilliant fem-fatal Tennessee Williams.

Finally, after all these years gone to pursuit of mundane, allowed by my life-partner to enshroud myself in a manuscript that was my therapy, hours a day for years on end, finished this one journey.

Sum of thousands of hours of "self", added imaginary friends and/or relations and composites of a few who are times too close-minded, closeted of heart,

owning theirs the only "right" version of a "get real". (Rathering them un-real, not dead. I love my family to death !)

Like some of past that should be dead & buried, but carried like a prisoners chains. Hillary's encouragement helped me get "free to be me". What more could a good parent do? (She is like that, but so much more, "to the moon and back".
Whatever is one's heartsong, all of these matters of significance - with or without being strung together, lyrically.

I wanted to write a great novel, one alikened "The Great Gatsby" or "So Big". "The Man Who Loved Children", by Margeret Stead, a less known, but touched my spirit,
my "me".
Someone will feel my story, but matters most is that I am just who God meant me to be.
